High Tideline at Balcary Bay, Galloway

Original reduction linocut. Balcary Bay near Auchencairn in south west Scotland has some beautiful little shell beaches on the shore road, glimpsed through the trees as you drive along. It's worth stopping for a while and taking in the view. The shells are bleached by the sun, but I managed to catch them here in the late afternoon when the soft sunlight gave them a golden glow.
