I began this book after a visit to Venice where I stayed in one of their fabulous palazzos. Venice has it's own unique feel and it transported me back to an age of courtesans, masked balls and devious plots.
The story is typically Venetian, starting with a very conscientious citizen reporting a crime. There then follows an incognito investigation of deception and lies and a run for freedom. Where will this take us?
The story is told in rhyme form, written around the edges of each page.
